Stocking Stuffers | We Live on a Bus

Christmas shopping (even for stocking stuffers) when you are moving into 300 square feet meant stretching my brain this year.  We don’t want to clutter up our tiny home with things that we don’t use, so I focused on things we know we will use.  No one wants to get a stocking full of useful things without the fun, so we teamed up with Uncommon Goods to create a list of fun and useful items to make our Christmas Day complete!  We have always loved their unique gifts so the hardest part about shopping for stocking stuffers was not buying too much!

Stocking Stuffers for Tiny Homes

Dog Bowl Water Bottle

When we were in our bricks and sticks home, Dub didn’t go a lot of places with us.  Once we realized we were going to live the full time travel life, we started taking him everywhere so he could adjust to the car and being on the go.  We realized really fast that we needed something for him to drink from, especially when we went out on long walks.  I’m hoping this fits in his stocking because this dog bowl water bottle looks like the perfect solution!

Banned Books Morph Mug

stocking stuffers

If you follow us on Instagram, you know I have a thing for them.  I will come up with all kinds of excuses for buying new ones.  I didn’t even need an excuse for this one.  I saw it and added it to my cart.  This banned books morph mug transforms once you put coffee in it.  It goes from having all of the words blacked out to revealing all of the books that have been banned at one time or another.  As someone who let her 10 year old listen to To Kill a Mockingbird, I am obsessed with this.  #unbanallthebooks

5-in-1 Tool Pen

Chris’ stocking is the hardest to fill.  He is a practical guy and Santa usually brings him a lot of fishing lures.  This year, Santa is bringing this 5-in-1 Tool Pen which seems like a great thing to keep at the front of the skoolie near the driver’s seat.

Food Hugger Set

I wanted to be the person who no longer uses cling wrap.  In fact, I need to add it to my goal list which will increase the chances of it actually happening.  This food hugger set is actually going in Chris’ stocking though.  He is the cook in this house.  I put things in the Instant Pot when I have to, but I don’t think that counts.  Either way, I think this looks like a great, re-usable way to keep food fresh for longer!

Cardboard Tool Kit

So, I was skeptical about this one.  Why do we need a cardboard tool kit?  Then I thought about how much fun kids have with cardboard.  Anyone else have that kid who plays with the box instead of the toy that came in the box?  I love the idea that having this kit doesn’t waste a ton of tape.  Plus, it is easier to give your cardboard creations moving parts.  This one is for Rylee, but I’m totally playing with it too!

Random Acts of Kindness Kit

I love this!  The one I purchased is specifically for teenagers.  Elijah has a big heart, and like most of us, he is at his best when he is doing good things for other people.  He is the first to step up and help when someone has a need.  I think the Random Acts of Kindness Kit will expand his mind and show him other ways to help as well.

BONUS STOCKING STUFFER!

stocking stuffers for families

This one is from last year, but we continue to pull this game out.  Rememory gives your family a chance to share all the stories you might not even know are floating around in your head.  We play this when our extended family is around and we even find out things are siblings remember about us that we long forgot.  This is one that Santa left in my stocking last year and our entire family are huge fans!
